Gandhi’s View on Judaism and Zionism in Light of an Interreligious Theology

چکیده

This article describes Gandhi’s view on Judaism and Zionism places it in the framework of an interreligious theology. In such a theology, notion “trans-difference” appreciates differences between cultures religions with aim building bridges them. It is argued that understanding was limited, mainly because he looked at through Christian lenses. He reduced to religion without considering its peoplehood dimension. reduction, together his political endeavors favor Hindu–Muslim unity advice satyagraha Jews 1930s determined Zionism. Notwithstanding problematic views Zionism, opens wide-open window possibilities challenges Near East. spirit are built Jewish transformational dialogical thinking.
